Let’s Get Lit–Reindeer Shaker Card

Hi everyone! It’s Sharon here and I’m super excited to be a guest designer for November.  Today I’m bringing you my Reindeer Shaker card using the new Let’s Get Lit stamp set by Beth Duff Designs.

I decided to create a shaker card with this cute set.  To start, I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut a hole in a piece of white cardstock.  I covered  the backside of the hole with some acetate to make a window.  Before continuing, I stamped the sentiment on the front while the piece was flat.  Next, I laid some foam tape around the edge of the circle to build a wall to hold my shaker pieces.  It’s very important to make sure that there are no gaps in the wall so that the shaker pieces do not escape.  I poured in some multi-colored sequins and tiny seed beads, making sure not to overfill it.  Once I finished adding all the pieces it was time to peel off the liner of the foam tape and place some designer paper over the hole.  I made sure to press it down securely so that none of the pieces would fall out.  I added some foam tape to the edges of my card piece and adhere it to the front of my card base that I had already matted with a matching piece of design paper.

I stamped the reindeer, Christmas tree ornaments and candy canes on some white cardstock and used my Prismacolor Pencils to color them all. I fussy cut everything out and then adhered the ornaments and candy canes to the tree.  I adhered the tree to my card so that it just slightly covered the window.  I used some dimensionals to pop the star up on top of the tree as well as the reindeer in front of the tree.

I had so much fun putting this card together for you.  If you would like to see the pop-up card I made using this same stamp set, please hop on over to my blog where I share all the cards that I make.

I want to thank Beth Duff for allowing me to work with her amazing stamps.   Make sure you pop on over to her store to check out all the fun sets she has to offer.

Enjoy your day!
