You're Magical

Hi ... It's Niccole, thank you for stopping by.
Today I have a card featuring the stamp set Don't Believe In Humans by Beth Duff Designs

It is pretty simple card with pattern paper, some die cutting, and some Copic coloring. The sentiment on the front is an older BDD stamp set called Unicorn Farts. I thought the sentiment "You're Magical" fit perfect for this card. I used a die I had called
Pop Up Circle Confetti Cuts.  I love how it cuts only a half circle.

The Copics I used to color the cat (which is from Don't Believe in Humans) are C8, C6, C4, C2, and C0. For the horn I used RV4, RV2, and RV00. I also used my favorite white pen to hand draw on the hearts for some added detail.
The inside sentiment is from the set Don't Believe in Humans.

The great thing about this card is it fits into a A2 envelope. At the center with  the circle it measures at 4.25" but the fold of the card is actually at 2.75".

This card was a lot of fun to create…

Game Time Football Card

Hi, everyone! It's Lynnea! My family loves football! How about yours? Of course we like different teams, so today I made a card with the Beth Duff Designs Game Time stamp set for my husband using his team colors and I even tweaked the stamps a bit to customize them to his team!

I started by drawing some pencil lines about 5/8" and 1 1/4" from the bottom and used my Gansai Tambi watercolors in Mid Yellow and Black to add some small vertical stripes in two rows across my card. Make sure you don't watercolor over the pencil lines or you won't be able to erase them! I stamped the three images from the Game Time stamp set and used some washi tape to mask off the "77" that was on the jersey and used a Copic Multiliner to draw in the "7" as well as the emblem on the helmet. I added a sentiment and popped up my images with foam tape!

Make sure you watch the video below! Jax makes a special guest appearance at the end to inspect my work! Haha!!

"Fixing" a Card with Bless Our Nest with Lynnea

Hello, everyone! It's Lynnea and I have a card video for you today featuring the new Bless Our Nest stamp set from Beth Duff Designs! It's the cutest stamp set with some amazing sentiments and a couple of birds, a birdhouse, and a nest! I'm going to be honest...this video jumps around a bit. I almost didn't share it. This card did NOT go as planned! Haha! But, I wanted to share with you how I fix my mistakes! From ink smudges to design errors! They can all be fixed!

This card didn't look anything like this in the beginning! I had a design in my head - stamp a sentiment and a column of birds and outline them to create almost a picture frame (you will see it in the video) and then do some watercoloring to create a one layer card. That didn't happen (obviously haha!) I did all the work and ended up cutting it apart! The color scheme looked much different in my head! Does that ever happen to you? I had a light red background with a yellow border...and it just looke…

Watercolor with Stencils with Lynnea

Hello, there! It's Lynnea! Thanks for stopping by! Today I have a fun card using the soon to be released Cuddle Like a Panda stamp set from Beth Duff Designs! It's the cutest little panda stamp set with four different panda images and a BUNCH of buildable sentiments!

I created a simple background using a stencil and some watercolor markers. You could use any stencil at all for this design! In fact, I want to revisit this technique with circles, triangles, even stripes! I used the Puffy Heart stencil from Pink & Main and taped it to the back of my 4.25" x 5.5" watercolor cardstock. I used Staedtler dual ended felt tipped markers and chose a yellow, two shades of mint, and two shades of pink for my color palette. I used the tip of the marker to outline the shape of the heart and continued tracing until I had filled up my whole card front. Now comes the fun part! I used my Spectrum Noir Clear Overlay sparkle pen to pull the color from the outline of the heart into t…

London Calling - Collaboration with Witt and Sass

When Amy from Witt and Sass and I started talking about our two British themed sets due this fall we knew we had to do something fun with the two sets together. Using Witt and Sass's Fabulously Gobsmacked and BDD's Adventure's Abroad - London, releasing September 22nd, our teams put some awesome work in and made great cards!

I wanted to use Amy's sentiments as a fun background paper in my first EVER shaker card! Our whole team worked really hard and I can't wait for you to see them all.

Plus you can win!!! Comment in either of our Facebook groups to win one of the sets!
