Around the World with Beth Duff Designs and Kindred Stamps

When I saw Kindred's Stamp's new release last month, G'day, I knew we had to do something together and of course Audra and team agreed. So here it is, our around the world fun collaberation. What we decided to do was to pair not one set, but our entire Adventure's Abroad series as well as matching fun sets from Kindred.

We decided, and when I say we, I mean Audra and Rachel, as here at BDD we were in the midst of our Winter release, to do a fun around the world theme with a passport AND fun digi images! Get your passport here.

With this passport, you will be able to collect digi images from the team's blogs and put them in your passport entering you to win a fun prize pack from either Kindred Stamps or BDD or BOTH!

Let's get Lit - Shaker

The weather in Norway is pretty chilly lately and slowly it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas :) So, because we have looonnnggggg nights here, I will try and lit things up with this card I made, as a Guest DT for Beth Duff Designs. I used the Let's Get Lit stamp set. I tried to use as many elements from it so I decided to make a shaker card.
Steps: 1. Cut a 17 x 12.5 cm card base from a 260g/mp2 ivory cardstock. 2. Cut a piece of Bristol smooth paper of 16 x 11 cm and played a little with Distress inks - Oxide Fired Brick and Ink - Mustard Seed.  3. Stamped and embossed the sentiment using Gold embossing powder and added some lights with black ink. 4. Cut the shape of the window using a die from Tonic Studios. 5. Stamped and colored using Polychromos pencils, the reindeer, the tree and the ornaments. 6. Assembled everything together, added final touches using glitter and glossy accents ...

and this is the result!    Hope you'll like it! Happy Holidays everyone!

Let’s Get Lit–Reindeer Shaker Card

Hi everyone! It’s Sharon here and I’m super excited to be a guest designer for November.  Today I’m bringing you my Reindeer Shaker card using the new Let’s Get Lit stamp set by Beth Duff Designs.

I decided to create a shaker card with this cute set.  To start, I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut a hole in a piece of white cardstock.  I covered  the backside of the hole with some acetate to make a window.  Before continuing, I stamped the sentiment on the front while the piece was flat.  Next, I laid some foam tape around the edge of the circle to build a wall to hold my shaker pieces.  It’s very important to make sure that there are no gaps in the wall so that the shaker pieces do not escape.  I poured in some multi-colored sequins and tiny seed beads, making sure not to overfill it.  Once I finished adding all the pieces it was time to peel off the liner of the foam tape and place some designer paper over the hole.  I made sure to press it down securely so that none of the pieces woul…

May Your Holiday be Lit!

Hello Crafty Friends - Annie here with a cute holiday card featuring the New Release Set called Let's Get Lit.

I started by stamping and coloring the images. Then, fussy cutting them. I also cut by card front panel and card base. I also double stamped the sentiment onto white card stock and used stitched square die to cut it.

Now, that I have all the components ready for the card - I started putting some adhesive behind my pattern paper and images.
Now, I placed the plaid pattern paper towards the bottom of the red card stock card front. Then, I placed the sparkle pattern paper and now, I layered the green pattern paper on top of the pattern papers so to hide the seam.
Now, It's time to build the Christmas Tree. Then, I placed it onto the front panel. Next, I placed the deer by the tree. I used a string of light to attach the tree to the deer.

Next, I layered the sentiment onto light green shimmer card stock. I add another string of lights. Adhered the card front onto the car…

Let's Get Lit

Hi, everyone! It's Lynnea! I hope you've seen the new release from Beth Duff Designs! Today I'm using the Let's Get Lit stamp set to create a couple of rustic masculine cards! Scroll to the bottom of this post to watch the video!

I stamped the reindeer image repeatedly across watercolor cardstock and embossed them with gold powder. Then I blended on some brown Distress Inks - Brushed Corduroy, Gathered Twigs, and Walnut stain using new to me blending brushes from Picket Fence Studios.

I had planned to keep this simple and just add some flicks of water, but I felt like the reindeer were getting lost - rather the gold embossing was getting lost, so I tried to fix it! I started by using some clean water and a brush and coloring over the images and using a paper towel to lift up the water. This lightens the area and makes it stand out from the background. For some added definition I used some dark brown watercolor to outline each reindeer.

I used a die from Concord & 9…

Adventures Abroad Continue to Italy

Hey guys, Rachel Winn here! I hope you've enjoyed the Beth Duff Designs Winter Release so far! I get to share the newest in the Adventures Abroad line, Italy. I absolutely adore this line, and this newest set is a fantastic addition.
I was shown a tutorial about for a card that was super 3D with floating floor. I started by creating the background using a brick stencil, distressed inks, and Tonic Expanding Mousse.  In the future I would cut it down to be smaller than the cardbase like a card front layer would normally be, but this was still a bit of trial and error for me!

The floor is cardstock cut to 4 1/4" x 6 1/4" and is scored at 3/8", 4 3/8", and 4 6/8". The short score ends up attaching to the back wall, while the longer end is used at the front of the card. I used a Pen Blade to cut small pieces out of the floor where I wanted my pieces to stand.

I chose to use 4 pillars, 2 scooters, and of course, the chef! They were colored using Copic markers.…

All Yeti for....

Hi friends , Alina here today, Guest Designer for the month of November for Beth Duff Design sharing a spinner card featuring the amazing "All Yeti for...." stamp set from Beth Duff Design !

I started my card by creating a beautiful background using Neenah Paper 80.lb , blending Lucky Clover green Distress Oxide on my paper with a blending tool and let it dry completely! After I took some Nuvo Glimmer Paste  Moonstone color and a spatula to help me spread the paste onto my background panel! I took also the "Radiating Rays" stencil from My Favorite Things and tape it down on my panel and then I added my paste but in a thin layer and let it dry!

Then I stamped my images on Neenah Paper Solar White 80 lb using Jet Black ink from Lawn Fawn and cut them out with my Scan n Cut machine ! I also die cut a round circle for my spinner mechanism .

Then I started coloring my Yeti image and also the little presents with some Green and Teal shades of Copic Markers : W 00, G07, R…
